We have invested in technologies you and your family can trust!

 RETINAL  CAMERA

Our Nidek RS 330 Retinal Camera can take baseline fundus pictures of your retina to diagnose and monitor many eye conditions. High definition and 3D images are captured with this instrument with fine and regular sensitivity to capture ocular pathology. It is a 12 megapixel camera built into the device which allows the camera to take high quality photos.

ANTERIOR SEGMENT CAMERA

This technology enables the Optometrist to have an inside look at your cornea and anterior segment.  The Optometrist is able to monitor patients wearing specialty contact lenses, lasik enhancements, endothelial dysfunctions, glaucoma, and IOLs. This is a non-invasive instrument which is very useful in evaluating corneal thickness and health when it comes to patients who are interested in any type of refractive surgery.

OPTICAL  COHERENCE  TOMOGRAPHY (OCT)

Our Nidek OCT can take baseline retinal scans of each  and every individual layer of your retina. Since each layer of the retina can concur different retinal pathology, it is important for the Optomtrist to take baseline OCT imaging to get a clear picture of your overall ocular health. This instrument is extremently good at managing several ocular pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, age related macular degeneration and more.

FUNDUS  AUTOFLUORESCENCE (FAF)

The FAF technology is an advanced screening tool. This is a non-invasive method to evaluate the Retinal Pigment Epithelium without any injections or dye. This helps the Optometrist detect early stage retinal disorders.

BIOMETRY - A Scan for axial length for myopia control

The main ‘why’ behind myopia control is to reduce the rate of axial length elongation. Whilst we can expect a direct correlation between axial length and refractive error, this is not always the case. A reduction in refractive progression does not always correlate to reduced axial length progression. Axial length measurements are a valuable tool in monitoring the success of ortho-k treatment in reducing myopic progression, as refraction is intentionally altered. It can also change the clinical management plan in cases of a mismatch between myopia and axial length. An example of this is a low myope with long axial length, where a higher-than-expected risk for future pathology leads to proactive management strategies.

OCTOPUS 900 PERIMETRY

This piece of technology allows the functional testing of peripheral vision with simplified exams which can be completed in as little as 2.5 minutes. These tests are done to diagnose and manage optic nerve head conditions, retinopathy, glaucoma, stroke, and other conditions. This test is required by most who are applying for medical drivers review, police applications and other. The results are fast, reliable, accurate, powerful and easy to complete.
